GENERAL RULES
WARNING: ALL INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE PRIZE LIST HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE BUT IS STILL SUBJECT TO THE STEWARD’S APPROVAL.
-1- STATUS AND EQUESTRIAN CANADA RULES
The CSO Winter Classic, the CSO Winter Final and the CSO Becancour Summer shows 1 and 2 are sanctioned as Gold competitions by Equestrian Canada (308 Legget Drive, Suite100, Ottawa, Ontario, K2K 1Y6) and are governed by the rules of the EC. All exhibitors must hold an EC GOLD sport license or higher.
Every class herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of CE rule book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. All matters not covered by these rules will be referred to the Show Committee and all committee decisions shall be final. The Show Committee further reserves the right to cancel, postpone, change or reschedule any class or division it deems appropriate.
Any horse entered in any class at a competition maybe selected for equine medication control testing while at the event location.
Per Article A801, every entry at an EC-sanctioned competition shall constitute an agreement by the person responsible that the owner, lessee, trainer, manager, agent, coach, driver or rider and horse shall be subject to the EC constitution and all rules of EC and any additional rules set by the competition. It is the responsibility of all individuals participating in any capacity in EC-sanctioned competitions to be knowledgeable regarding the EC constitution and the applicable rules of EC and the additional rules, if any, imposed by the competition. Do not participate in this EC- sanctioned competition in any capacity if you do not consent to be bound by the constitution and rules of EC and any additional rules imposed by the competition.
2- STALLS
Limited stabling facilities will be available. Stalls will be allocated on a first-registered, first-served basis. Requests for preferred locations will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed. There will be no refund of stall fees after the reservations have been made, regardless of circumstances. Stall fees, bedding excluded, shall be as follows:
CSO BECANCOUR WINTER CLASSIC:
Up to March 1st, 20120:
Main stable stall: included
The night watch fee is included
As of March 1st, 2020: a $25 surplus will be charged in addition to the price mentioned and the committee cannot guarantee a location.
CSO BECANCOUR WINTER FINAL:
Up to April 1st, 2020:

Permanent stables stall: 150 $
The night watch fee is $15 extra

3- ENTRIES – CLOSING DATE – LATE FEE
The closing date for entries for CSO BECANCOUR WINTER CLASSIC IS March 1st, for CSO BECANCOUR WINTER FINAL is April 1st, for CSO BECANCOUR SUMMER WEEK 1 is June 15th, for CSO BECANCOUR SUMMER WEEK 2 is June 22th and August 12th for CSOBECANCOUR STILL SUMMER! A late fee of $25.00 will be charged for all entries received after the closing dates. The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse registration at any time.
4- ACCOUNTS, PAYMENT
Entries must be made online via horseshowsonline.com.
All other forms of registration will incur a supplementary administrative fee of $20.00, which will be added automatically to the entries.
HST and QST taxes will be added to all services and administrative fees.

5- ADMINISTRATION
A $50 administrative fee will be added to each registered horse account if the entry was received via horseshowsonline.com. An administration fee of $70 will be added to all horse accounts registered any other way.
6- PRIZES
All prizes won will be credited to the participant’s account by the Show Office.
7- NSF CHEQUES
There will be a fifty dollar ($50.00) service charge for any cheque returned by the bank for whatever reason.
8- ENTRY NUMBERS- Coggin test- Vaccination
Entry numbers will only be issued to participants who have paid their fees in full or upon deposit of a signed blank cheque or a debit/credit card deposit to the Show Office. Riders and horses must be in good standing with Equestrian Canada. As well, EC sport license numbers for riders, owners and horses are required along with a Coggins test certificate for each horse. All horse entered in any class at a competition must have met the requirements of Article A519, Vaccinations. See Rules of Equestrian Canada, Section A, General Regulations, Article A519, Vaccinations. Entry forms must be signed and indicate the name of the person responsible for the horse before the numbers are released. Numbers must be worn and visible at all times including the lunging area as per A814 (exercise area).
9- EQUINE MEDICATION CONTROL
All horses competing in any class of the show can be selected for a drug test at any time while on the competition grounds. Participants are charged a 45$ fee in FEI divisions and 7$ per horse in Gold divisions.
10- SCRATCHES
Entries cancelled before the first day of the show will be refunded, less a seventy dollar ($70.00) administration fee. There will be no stall reimbursements after the registration deadlines.
11- MODIFICATIONS - ADDS AND SCRATCHES
All modifications must be made at the Show Office the day prior to the class or division you wish to enter or scratch from.
The Show Office will close at 5:30 p.m. every day.
Additions and cancellations can only be made at the show office by using the appropriate form. However, adds and scratches will be permitted via horseshowsonline.com. No other method will be accepted.
Any participant who does not show up for a class where he is officially registered, without cancelling as indicated above, will be charged for the class.
Horses that show in a class in which they have not previously been entered will be charged a twenty five dollar ($25.00) penalty fee in addition to the normal entry fee.
12- GROUNDS FEES / NOMINATION FEES
Grounds fees of sixty five dollars ($65.00) will be charged for every horse on the show ground. There will be no nomination fees charged for any classes during the CSO Bécancour shows.
13- SCHOOLING
All horses must be registered at the Show Office in order to participate in all schooling classes listed in the program namely classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 400, 401, 402 et 403 (classes offered may vary from one show to the other).
Any horse showing in a class without having been entered in that class will be charged a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) penalty fee in addition to the normal entry fee for that class. In order to avoid paying extra class and penalty fees, please be sure you are registered in the correct schooling class.
14- 24-HOUR RULE
The 24 hour rule will be in effect for all Grand Prix classes. All Grand Prix horses are required to have their own reserved stall on the show grounds. Grand Prix riders must present their horse(s) at the show office before 5:00 pm the day of the Grand Prix.
15- HORS-CONCOURS
As per Equestrian Canada rules there will be no hors concours allowed in Hunter (G 201.3) or Equitation/ Medal (G 1001.4). Jumper horses may run as hors concours at the discretion of organizing committee.
16- NON-SHOWING HORSE
Any horse not competing in the show must be registered at the Show Office. A non-showing fee of $200 per horse will be charged including $65 grounds fee and $60 administration fee. A horse number must be obtained from the Show Office. Numbers must be worn and visible at all times while riding.
17- DOGS
Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
18- ARRIVAL TIME
Horses may arrive on the Horse Show grounds from 9:00 onwards on the day before the show's first class start.
19- PARKING
For safety reasons, the parking of cars, trucks and trailers is only permitted in the designated Becancour Equestrian Complex parking areas.
20- SMOKING
It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the barns and interior rings.
21- PHOTOGRAPH RIGHTS
CSO QUÉBEC reserves the right to use horses or riders photographs taken from CSO BECANCOUR horse show's for promotional and marketing purposes.
